Jeanne Ryan - Cremation & Celebration of Life

My name is Briana, I had the honor and privilege of being able to call Jeanne Ryan my step mother. I don’t feel like that title carries enough weight though, as Jeanne was truly a mother to me and my 4 siblings.

On Thursday, December 14th, I received the phone call that no one wants to receive. I was told that Jeanne had passed away, very unexpectedly, at just 59 years old.

To say this loss is profound, would be a great understatement. Jeanne was an absolute pilar to our family, as well as this community. If you knew Jeanne, or even if you didn’t, you know that she was an absolute gem. She was always so happy go lucky, and she brought joy to absolutely everyone around her. I’m sure many of you have heard her laugh while on her time at Mix 108, and you’d know how absolutely contagious it was. She always had the best stories to tell of the crazy shenanigans she’d gotten herself into over the years, like the one time she accidentally stole her families car as a child and rolled it down her driveway.

She was the type of person who would give you the shirt off her back. She did everything in her power to support her children and grandchildren. She was always, always there for us. She never failed to tell us how proud she was of us, how much she loved us, how grateful she was to have us in her life, and so many other wonderful reminders of the love she had for us that we will miss so much.

This loss was very unexpected, and because of that, we are very unprepared. She was let go from her career of 15+ years very unexpectedly and to no fault of her own earlier this year, meaning there is no insurance for this type of thing to fall back on.

I am asking for the community around us to help support putting Jeanne to rest in the way she deserved. We are wanting to throw a celebration of life for her soon after the Holidays are over, and these costs are going to add up very quickly. I know with the time of year that funds are tight for everyone around us, but anything helps, truly. Thank you so much for loving and supporting Jeanne through the years.
