Jeanne and Katie's Journey: Loss and New Life

I am starting this fundraiser with the hopes to help my best friend and her twin sister. Krissi, their mother, passed away very unexpectedly earlier this week. Krissi is survived by her twin daughters Jeanne and Katie. Katie welcomed her first child to the world only a few days before her own mother would suddenly pass. Jeanne and her husband are stationed out of MD and are currently 6 months pregnant with their first child due this June.

As if the sudden and unexpected loss of a parent isn’t excruciating and stressful enough, this is a time where Jeanne and Katie should be making memories with their mom and bonding over their new journeys into motherhood and grandmother-hood together.

The goal is to help relieve the financial burden that comes with funeral expenses and travel costs so that Jeanne and Katie may focus on grieving their mother in this time while also trying to navigate life with their new babies without the physical, mental, and emotional support of their own mother here.
