As you know, Jeanine has been in the hospital since June 1st fighting an unexpected battle. In efforts to respect her privacy and allow her the opportunity to share the details herself when she in home, I will not go into details about her condition other than that she was eventually diagnosed with Dengue Virus.
Dengue Virus is a rare disease contracted in tropical countries spread through mosquito bites. There is no vaccine or treatment to protect against Dengue Fever which causes severe flu like symptoms and in some cases can be fatal.
Jeanine has been facing a severe case and spent much of this time in Hamilton ICU (after being transferred from Cambridge). Jeanine is still in Hospital with an unknown release date at this time. When she does get home, she will require continual care from a Nurse and will not be able to return to work for an extended amount of time as her recovery will be a lengthy and trying one.
In addition to lost wages, at this point and throughout her recovery, as a single Mom, bills will and are piling up. Although Jeanine would NEVER EVER ask for help or expect anyone to reach out but we are!
If you would like to show your love and support to Jeanine, we are asking you to donate what you are comfortable donating to help relieve some unnecessary stress during this time. If you know Jeanine, you know how overwhelmed and appreciative she would feel about any consideration you may make!!
You only have to meet Jeanine for 5 minutes to know that she is FULL of love for people and life and especially for her daughter, Kyla!! She has the most infectious smile and makes everyone around her laugh and feel loved. She is such a hardworking person who would do anything for the people she loves! If you can, this fund would be an incredible and deserving one to help Jeanine and Kyla out!
