My name is Nancy and I am fundraising for my friend Jeanine Celentano and her son Nicholas (Nick).

Nick was a preemie at birth weighing just one pound, and has lived his 19 years of life with chronic health issues, including lung disease.

Even with his medical issues, Nick attended Fairfield Schools (Woods Middle School) and graduated from Warde High School in 2021.

The week before Thanksgiving, Nick went into cardiac arrest.

He is now at Montefiore hospital in NY, where his lung and heart specialists are located, on ECMO and awaiting a lung transplant.

Nick's parents are hardworking Fairfield residents. Jeanine works at Woods Middle School as the cafeteria manager, helping other children on a daily basis. She has taken time off to be with her son.

But the reduced income and increasing medical bills are providing true financial strain.
