Hi friends, While visiting my family for the holidays, I suffered a severe ankle injury after a 15+ foot fall while indoor rock climbing. The injury resulted in an open fracture that required emergency surgery. What I thought would be a straightforward recovery quickly became much more complicated. At my first follow-up appointment, doctors discovered signs of skin necrosis. Because I have metal plates and screws stabilizing my ankle, closing the wound has been extremely difficult. The tissue damage went deep enough that the hardware became exposed, requiring another emergency surgery and ongoing reconstructive treatment. I now face additional procedures, extended bed rest, and a long recovery process before I can even begin walking again.
On top of the physical recovery, the financial impact has been overwhelming. I am unable to work during this time, and medical bills continue to arrive from hospital stays, surgeries, and ongoing care. Funds raised will help cover medical expenses, recovery care, and basic living costs while I focus on healing.
If you are able to donate or share, I am deeply grateful for your support. Thank you for being part of my recovery.
