As if 2020 hasn't been a tough enough year, we recently received news that one of our very own teammate was diagnosed with a form of breast cancer. Jeanette Au-Pettit has been a long time employee at both the Acura and Lexus stores here at the auto mall. She's a devoted wife to Eric, a nurturing mother for both Ruby and Reilyn, a loving daughter, sister, auntie and a loyal friend to us all.
Jeanette will undergo chemo every 3 weeks for 6 rounds starting at the end of November. The doctors are hoping to shrink the tumor in order to minimize the amount of tissue required to safely remove it. Needless to say, Jeanette will miss work for the foreseeable future while undergoing treatment to fight off this horrible disease.
I would love nothing more than to help her alleviate some of the unneeded stress that this diagnosis has brought by setting up this page. With the Holidays upon us, I urge you to contribute to this wonderful cause and help one of our beloved teammate win her battle with cancer. The funds will help provide peace of mind during these uncertain times as well as ease some of the financial burden that taking time off will bring. I fully understand that everyone has been affected by the pandemic in one way or another and may not be able to help financially but I also understand the power of prayers.
Please pray for Jeanette and her family as she faces her cancer battle. Let's support her and let her know that she's not alone as she courageously fights this dreadful disease. Let's show her the real meaning of the Holidays and what it means to be part of the Hendrick family.
