If you’re lucky enough to know Jeanene well, you know that asking for help doesn’t come easily to her.  She’s much more likely to offer help than to ask for it.  She’s always been more inclined to give than to take.  But this time it’s different, because the stakes are high: Jeanene needs a kidney and a pancreas transplant, and she needs your help.  

Jeanene has been dealing with Type 1 Diabetes for over 34 years now.  The disease is chronic, and as a result, she has been in renal failure for nearly a decade.  It sounds serious, because it is.  However, her prognosis with a transplant is great.  This is the opportunity that not only herself, but all her loved ones have been hoping and praying for.

 Even if you don’t know Jeanene yourself, she’s someone you want in the world.  A few words that describe Jeanene are compassionate, considerate, courageous, funny, reliable, sincere, warm, and caring.   She is a huge animal lover.   She is smart, and resilient, and endlessly optimistic, despite the challenges she faces. Jeanene has worked her entire life, despite daily struggles and wishes to continue to work for many years to come.  This is only possible with a transplant and a new lease on life. Jeanene never complains about her disease and all that it entails.  Her smile and laugh are contagious, and they light up any room that she enters.  Jeanene strives to make everyone’s day better, despite how her day has been. She’s a wonderful daughter, sister, friend, and last but not least, a mother to her four fur babies (Trixie Belle, Bruiser, Zoro and Sable).  Above all, she is kind.

We are reaching out to you because Jeanene needs your help.  Even with insurance, the associated costs of a transplant are overwhelming. In order to even be considered for a transplant, Jeanene is required to have $10,000 allotted in a separate account.  This amount does not take into consideration her insurance deductible ($8,000), nor does it cover costs for travel expenses to and from tests and surgery, lost wages, or unanticipated expenses associated with her treatment.  These obstacles present a financial burden that she can’t take on alone.  The days and weeks ahead are sure to be filled with uncertainty and fear, but you can help.  Please consider making a donation, no amount is too small.  Anything you can give will go directly toward supporting Jeanene while she recovers from a life-saving kidney and pancreas transplant.  Prayers through this journey are greatly appreciated!
