Hi, my name is Jessi and I have started this GoFundMe on behalf of my mom, Jeana. As some of you may know, my Mom became very ill after traveling to Colorado from Florida to visit my family for Thanksgiving. The day after she arrived on 11/20/23, she came down with a very bad case of Influenza A and ended up in the emergency room. Not much was done for her there, and she was sent back home with me where she spent the following week and a half in bed only getting worse. During this process, she also had to put her 13-year-old dog Bonnie down unexpectedly while not even being with her to say goodbye.

After having to move her flight back once due to being too ill to fly, we finally were able to get her home to Florida to receive more medical care. She was taken to the emergency room, and again sent back home. The next morning, she woke up and could not breathe and was rushed to the hospital in very poor condition. She has spent the past week in the ICU at West Marion HCA hospital with Pneumonia and other co-morbidities. Her medical bills on top of her inability to work has left her in a hard situation financially. I have started this GoFundMe to help with paying some of her bills until she can get back on her feet.
