Hello Friends and Family,
My name is Max and I am raising money to support my dear friend Jean Beeman. Many of you know Jean from Pennsylvania while others of you may know her in Florida. Some of you may not know, but she has had a very interesting year with her health. In July, she fell while taking the trash out and broke her left ankle. It was determined by her physician that her ankle was not healing properly and surgery was needed in August. Screws, pins, and plates were all necessary to help ensure it was healing properly.
After a long period of healing, casts were taken off and physical therapy started on November 1st. However, while she was healing she used a knee walker for mobility, which later provided new problems. After working very hard in physical therapy, her ankle was healed and ready to go, but it was discovered that the knee walker caused her hip to deteriorate to the point where it was starting to splinter the ball and socket. Two days later, Jean went back to surgery for a full hip replacement. She is currently using a walker and cane for mobility and healing well but was told recently that she has a large hematoma at the incision site. Her doctor hopes this will dissipate on its own without further surgery.
During this whole process, Jean has been out of work and relying on short term disability as well as her personal savings to get her through this trying time. She is still unable to work until March and is running low on funds and her short term disability has ended. Anyone who knows Jean knows that she is a hard worker who would do anything she can for the people she loves and cares about and right now she needs our help. She has even had to postpone her holiday plans with her family until March when she recovers and goes back to work. If you are able, please help Jean by giving what you can to help support this amazing woman and get her through this difficult time in her life.
Thank you all,
Max Jergel
