On June 11, 2020 at 12 years of age Jean Torres lost her life in a terrible tragedy in Piedras Negras, Coahuila. Jean was a student at Seco Mines Elementary along with her 11 year old sister, she also has a brother in junior high who is 14 and a little sister who is 4. Jean, her siblings and Mom Norma all lived in Eagle Pass before the start of the Covid -19 pandemic and were actively in school. Due to Covid - 19 Mom’s job like many others had to close down leaving her with no income and forcing them to go live in Piedras Negras. She is now seeking financial help to be able to buy a head stone for Jean’s final resting place as well as to be able to bring her children back to Eagle Pass by renting a place to live.
