It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Jeanie Velez, who passed away after a brief illness on April 10th with her family by her side.

She was the Community Association Manager at The Loxahatchee Club for nearly 38 years. Jeanie’s smile and laughter was contagious. She had an amazing sense of humor and was always the first one out on the dance floor at parties. Jeanie loved playing tennis, pickleball, going to the beach, and eating at great restaurants. She very much enjoyed spending time her with family and loved being with her grandchildren.

Bryant and Hilary Gumbel will be starting off the fundraiser and know that many of you will want to make a donation to help reach this goal on behalf of Jeanie's family. We are reaching out to friends, family, and community for support during this very difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in helping provide Jeanie with the farewell that she deserves. All proceeds will be allocated to Jeanie’s husband, Hector, to help with funeral and medical expenses.
