Jean Felix Saint Felix, born June 7, 1959, took his final breath on the 1st of November at 6:40pm Haiti time and 3:30pm Oregon time surrounded by his love ones. My husband and I brought 10 children to America and gained one here. Jean Felix fought against political persecution and unfairness and brought his family to safety to Oregon in 1994. He spent 9 days fighting for his life and unfortunately passed away. He established a Haitian church and was very involved with the Portland Haitian community. His pride and joy was his 11 children and 20 grandchildren. He was charismatic, intelligent and resilient. He made a great impression in the lives of the people he encountered and will greatly be missed. The family would love to ask for their privacy as they handled Jean Felix’s send off, please forward any correspondence to Marie Micherlange Winkler, Jean’s eldest daughter.
