Jean du Toit Memorial Fund

Manitoba's motion picture community was recently shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden loss of Jean du Toit. The Manitoba Chapter of the Documentary Organization of Canada (Doc) is setting up a Memorial Fund to collect donations for an award in Jean's honour (details TBC).

For more than two decades, Jean made her mark as a film and television producer, production manager, business affairs expert, industry consultant, and all-around champion of creative people and projects. Born and raised near Johannesburg, South Africa, Jean moved to Canada in the 1990s after a stint as an exchange student, eventually finding her way into Winnipeg's film industry. She was a bright light, a positive supporter, a selfless contributor, and a dedicated friend.
