Hi, my name is Melissa. I’m a university student. I spend most of my time working or with my puppy Hermes.
Unfortunately the other night I noticed Hermes shaking and throwing up quite a bit. In a panic we went to the emergency vet clinic. He was originally given fluids and an anti nausea medicine, totalling around $426.
He threw up all of these fluids again this morning and so we rushed him back to the emergency vet for an ultrasound. It turns out that he has a foreign body stuck in his stomach. It is long and string like and has gotten itself stuck in his intestines, ultimately causing them to fold in, in painful ways. He is in a lot of pain and has to go for surgery.
The deposit for this surgery is $5,000. However, afterwards there will be up to $2,000 more just for time spent in surgery. I was not approved for financing as my credit score is too low. My grandfather has offered to cover for now, however he does not have a lot of money and I will desperately need to pay him back. I only make around $1,400 a month, in a good month and I have rent and other bills to pay.
I don’t want to guilt trip. I am just hoping that anyone that is able to help will do so. It would mean the world to me and my best friend.
I just want him to be energetic and happy again.
Even just sharing this would make the world of a difference.
Thank you, so much.
