Hi, my name is Laura – I’m Nick’s sister and Hughie’s very proud Aunty.

I’ve created this fundraiser to help support my brother Nick and sister in love, Lily as their beautiful little boy, Hughie (4yo), continues chemotherapy and treatment.

Hughie has recently been diagnosed with Spindle Cell Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. A tumour has been found on the spinal column, and he is now facing an incredibly tough road ahead, beginning with at least 9 months of intensive inpatient chemotherapy and treatment in hospital.

As you can imagine, this diagnosis has completely turned their world upside down. While they focus on being by Hughie’s side every step of the way, one of them will need to stop working to provide full-time care and support for him in hospital.

This means a sudden loss of income on top of an already devastating situation – and it’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help.

All funds raised will go directly to help cover their mortgage payments, essential living costs, and ongoing expenses during this time. Easing even a small part of the financial stress will allow Nick and Lily to focus fully on what matters most right now – Hughie’s treatment and well-being.
