My name is Tiffany, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea for help. I am a full-time student, a dog mom, and the primary caregiver for my disabled wife. Our family has recently faced a series of overwhelming challenges that have left us in a very difficult situation.

Our Situation:

Due to my wife’s disabilities, she is unable to work, and I am doing my best to balance my studies, work, and care giving responsibilities. Recently, our oldest daughter was involved in a car accident that resulted in her car being totaled and a significant leg injury and required surgery. She has multiple doctors appointments, we have to take her to. This situation has further strained our resources, as we needed to focus on her recovery and care.

In an attempt to improve our living situation, we moved into a new apartment based on the promise of a downstairs unit that would be more accessible. However, shortly after moving in, we discovered severe plumbing issues. Despite our repeated requests for repairs, the management performed only temporary fixes and began threatening us with eviction.

Faced with this hostility, we decided to search for a new place to live. We found an opportunity that seemed perfect, but after paying an application fee and deposit, we were denied and lost our deposit. With my limited work hours, we had already spent a significant amount on other apartment applications, all of which were denied.

Now, my wife, our dog, and I are homeless. We are living out of our car and have been staying at campsites as our funds rapidly deplete. Our car is also experiencing problems, adding to our already difficult situation. The living conditions are taking a severe toll on my wife’s health due to her disabilities.
