My name is Richard Olive, and I'm fundraising for Chrissy Burns.

There's economic pressure in the Diane Burns Haussler-Chrissy Burns household due to Chrissy's paralysis following heart surgery last year. This GoFundMe is an effort to relieve some of that financial stress.

Chrissy has had a tough journey with a genetic heart disorder that tragically took the lives of her father at 35 and her son, Nathan, at 23 in 2015. Despite undergoing aortic dissection surgeries in 2009 and 2013, last year she faced a Stanford heart surgeon's grim prognosis that another surgery would likely be fatal. Opting for a high-risk alternative procedure, she ended up paralyzed from the waist down.

The strain on Chrissy and Diane has been immense. Chrissy's physical and emotional challenges are ongoing, and Diane has been her primary caregiver, with the support of In-Home Health Social Services.

Chrissy's future remains uncertain, but she and Diane are hopeful. She needs financial assistance for medical expenses not covered by insurance, as well as to ease the financial burden at home and retire her debt.

The outpouring of love and support from their communities has been deeply appreciated by Chrissy and Diane. Now, contributions to this fund will help provide the continued support they need.
