On October 6, 2017 The Richards Family will host an event to raise awareness and funds for our beautiful Sarah Rose. This GoFundMe page is for anyone who can not be with us this Friday and has asked where to donate.
After years of testing Sarah's doctors have come up with a clinical diagnosis of Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, a disease that is present at birth and in common causes severe, progressive spasticity and muscle weakness. Children with HSP have very low muscle tone, making it challenging for them to meet developmental milestones such as walking. Sarah has already endured surgery on both legs and extensive physical therapy. Fortunately Sarah is able to walk with the assistance of braces. We are hoping to raise funds in order for her to attend camps and seek physical therapy activites that will advance her opportunities for a full and meaningful adolescence. In addition we will be donating 10% of all profits to the National HSP Foundation in hope for a cure for our cause.
