Bean's Medical Fund
Tax deductible
Hello friends of Lake County Humane Society and fellow animal lovers. We need your help. This is Bean, a 3-month-old kitten born with a rare condition called Pectus Excavatum also known as funnel chest. This is a condition in which the breastbone sinks into the chest and affects the breathing. He needed surgery to save his life. The surgery could only be performed by a specialist in the Twin Cities.
Bean's surgery was a success, but there were some complications that made it necessary for him to be placed in an oxygen chamber. This required him to spend some extra days in the ICU to make sure he could breathe on his own before being discharged. He has a long recovery, but the surgery has allowed him the chance to be a healthy, happy kitten.
The shelter's medical expenses have been more than we anticipated, but the surgery was needed to save his life, and our goal is to save lives when we can.
Our shelter is small and funded mostly by donations. Please help us so we can continue to help animals like Bean.
Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Donations can also be directly made to Lake County Humane Society 415 20th Ave PO Box27 Two Harbors MN 55616.
Thank you for your support.
