Hi, my name is Kayla and I’m currently away at college in Denton. A few days ago, my family’s home back in League City caught on fire. The damage is really bad — the house is unlivable, and they’re currently staying with a family member while they figure everything out.

We have three dogs, and thankfully, they all made it out. One of them, Fennelly, scared us by hiding during the fire and had to be taken to the emergency vet. He’s okay now, but it added to the stress and the bills we’re already facing.

The restoration company told us the more cleanup we do ourselves, the more insurance money we’ll have left for replacing what’s been lost — which is a lot. We’re trying to gather the supplies needed to clean and clear the house out as much as possible.

We’re asking for help to cover:

• Cleaning supplies (contractor trash bags, degreaser, shop towels, storage bins)

• Vet bills from Fennelly’s emergency care

• Dorm basics for my stepsister, who’s starting college next semester

• Just getting through the next 6–8 months while repairs happen
