Hi, my name is Lynn and Pam is my daughter- in-law. In June of this year we almost lost her. She was admitted to hospital and was in ICU for 5 weeks , very sick and intubated. We were told IF she woke up, she’d be a quadriplegic. This was a 39 year old in good health - how could this happen. She and my daughter had been married less than 3 years and had their whole life ahead of them. After a lot of hard work on her part and the folks at G.F. Strong, she is now a paraplegic! Progress is coming albeit slowly, but it’s getting close to her going home. A home she hadn’t even seen yet as Steph had to quickly buy something, pack up and move to something that would be suitable for someone in a wheelchair. They even had to rehome their dog . Anyway all the equipment she needs is extremely expensive and with a high mortgage payment and only one income now, it makes it extremely difficult. We are needing money for a hospital bed and mattress, a new shower , a commode chair , an outdoor lift and of course a wheelchair.
