Hello, my name is Joey Cao.

I have been nominated and selected to attend the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC), an Envision by WorldStrides program to be held this Summer 2022 in Washington, D.C.

 

By attending JrNYLC, I will be taking steps toward success in high school, college, and my future career. I will be joining middle school students from around the country for the educational experience of a lifetime.

 

Washington, D.C. will serve as my living classroom as I explore leadership through the lens of American history. The interactive workshops, group simulations, and historical site visits will help me develop the essential skills to become an effective leader, such as goal setting, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication. Focusing on these qualities will prepare me to face future challenges. In the Voices of Change project, I will create an action-oriented organization to create positive change at school and in the community, just as Americans have done throughout history.

 

I am very excited about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It would be my honor to present and use the experiences that I gained for our schools, communities, and future.

All funds will go towards tuition & travel. The full tuition for this 6 day program is $2,595 plus a round trip ATX to BWI is averaging $400.
