JD Powers Family Support

On January 17th God rescued Jesse Daniel Powers Jr. from the pain and struggle of cancer and took him home to heaven suddenly and he ultimately succumbed to cardiac arrest. He was a loving and faithful husband for over 53 years and a devoted father and grandfather. Wherever JD went, he never knew a stranger and was loved by all. His love for the Lord was evident in his actions, always living out his faith in Jesus. He fought bravely and without complaint and we will miss this intelligent, selfless, witty, positive man more than words can adequately express.

Although the cancer began a little less than two years ago, doctors always maintained hope for his recovery. The out of pocket medical expenses for his illness are left to his wife Cheryl. She would be blessed with financial help to cover medical costs and the funeral preparations as she grieves the loss of her best friend and true love. Please give as you are able and pray for JD’s family who are left behind.
