Hello everyone,

My name is Lesley and I created this Go Fund Me on behalf of my mommy Beth Russell. On Thursday, February 22, 2024 my mom was viscously attacked by an unknown man. She was at the Richmond housing authority when she was approached by this individual. When she refused his assistance to help her, he decided to brutally punch my mom in her face repeatedly, which cause a lot of injuries to her. She managed to make it back to her car and drive herself to a nearby MacDonald’s where she contacted 911 and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital where she was treated and eventually released. A CT scan was performed on her head and she received multiple stitches to her face. She also suffered injuries to both knees and her arm. My mom is only 5’3” tall, barely 130lbs and is an elderly 72 year old Filipino woman who had to fight off an attacker who was Approximately 6ft tall and well over 200lbs. No one deserves to be assaulted like this.

The purpose of this GoFund Me is to offer some type of assistance with her medical bills as well as physical therapy and psychological counseling. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
