Note: We are raising funds to benefit Janie Colgate. Angie is the acting beneficiary on her behalf, since she is managing her finances during this season.

Janie (our mom) was diagnosed in Sept 2020 with a rare and very aggressive form of cancer. She just retired in May and was looking forward to spending her golden years reading books and enjoying her grandchildren. But now she faces both a daunting physical battle and discouraging unreimbursed costs associated with her care.

She gave her life in nonprofit Christian ministry and therefore has very little retirement savings. In May, she sold her home and plans to move in with Angie as soon as it is feasible. Her fixed income does not have any wiggle room.
