Support Stephanie's Final Journey
Donation protected
My name is Emily. My sister-in-law, Stephanie, was born with Cerebral Palsy 12 weeks early. Due to that, she has had a host of diagnoses, procedures, and surgeries, all the while smiling and making others laugh. In 1996, she was a co-ambassador for Schreiber Pediatric Rehab and continued there until the age of 18. After graduating a special needs program at Solanco High School, she then attended an adult day program two times a week until Hospice services started October 2023. Unfortunately, all her special needs are resulting in her body shutting down.
Lately she has been declining to the point where my mother-in-law has to start to make arrangements. Steph has touched many lives over her 34 years of life. Her smile always brightens your day. My mother-in-law has dedicated her life to the care for Stephanie and is unsure at this point how to move forward with Stephanie’s final moments. While my mother-in-law had been tending to Stephanie’s failing health, the burden of the financial aspect of end of life cost has been causing my mother-in-law to have sleepless nights when she should only need to focus on Stephanie’s care and comfort.
We are unsure where to find the funds to pay for the end of life costs. We are reaching out to the generosity of strangers to help ease that financial burden.
Update:
Our dear Steph passed away peacefully Monday morning, surrounded by her family. When we have arrangements we will include them in another update.
