Hello my name is Isabella Corazzini and I am a 17 year old Youth Organizer. Over the past year, I have been working on a my Senior Year Capstone Project researching Youth Social Justice Movements and Positive Youth Development models. I selected this topic because I wanted to learn how to organize my peers to improve social issues that negatively impact Worcester's Youth. The final product of my research is to conduct a youth-led training for youth that creates power between us and strengthens our organizing networks. 

The training will be held  July 21st and July 22nd. The training will cover the cost of room & board, transportation and training content for 40 youth. Examples of trainings include:

Power Analysis 

Defining Social Movements

A Youth Veteran Panel 

Developing Strategy and Capacity in Community Organizing

 
In the last couple of months I have been working with local Youth Development experts that have been advising me on my project and supporting my efforts. The intended outcome of the training is to create "The Worcester Youth Movement" a collective of youth that will identify issues and priorities to work on. I truly believe, that with the right tools, us young people can change hearts and move people to action.
