Cooper's vet fund
Donation protected
After the recent layoffs and recession, I've found myself in a difficult financial situation this past year. Adding to this financial stress, Cooper unlocked a new ability of being able to open doors in our house and found his way into a 2lb bag of grapes.
I spent the last night in the e-vet and they were able to remove 12 massive grapes. I have to continue to get him bloodwork for the next 72 hours while monitoring him to make sure his kidney levels are okay. We have no way of knowing if any grapes remained or if he had already digested some.
Unfortunately, this can be fatal and may result in him being hospitalized which can increase the costs to upwards of $3500. The emergency vet has found me some low-cost hospitals that have charity funds that I may defer to, but the cost will still roughly estimate to around $1500-2000.
With any extra funds I will admit him to the most immediate hospital and donate the rest to animal hospital charities. I will post a receipt and charity information once he's in the clear.
Any help is appreciated while I try to navigate this.
