City Roots Flood Recovery Fund

City Roots Farm in Columbia, SC is famous for many things, being the only in town sustainable, organic farm, hosting fundraising events for flood relief, barn raisers, Sustainable Midlands, local businesses and more. Now City Roots needs your help. This week City Roots found out how much damage was done to the fields out behind Heathwood Hall and it was a substantial loss. Over 4 acres of crops were destroyed due to flooding and erosion from the recent flood. Thousands of hours of work gone. This will set them back in man hours as well as suffering significant financial loss to replace the crops and rebuild the field. There was a $40,000 loss, and insurance will not cover all of this. They need your help to survive, pay staff and regain their loss. Please help the farm that always lends a hand to help the community.
