JC's Battle Against Lung Cancer
Donation protected

My husband JC has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He is 31 and never a smoker.
We have no insurance. JC has had his own business helping design and build systems to grow food and provide food security to underserved areas in the world for over three years. His career is just taking off and I know what an impact he has already made in the lives of many people! He is always willing to help friends, family, and yes even strangers. Our nieces and nephews adore him; we have been travelling and we were planning to start a family soon. Now we are on a new, and at times overwhelming, healing journey and we need all the help and support we can get!

After a long summer of visits to hospitals, labs, x-rays and CT scans, two bronchoscopies and still no answers a permanent IV was installed for treatment for a suspected infection and a surgical biopsy was scheduled. We expected to leave the hospital the next day, he is currently still in the hospital on day 25 after his right lung developed an air leak. As soon as his air leak resolves we will begin learning more about our treatment path but it is likely to contain more surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, more scans, tests, x-rays, hospital stays and travel. The costs could be astronomical but it is the battle for JC's life so we are not giving up, we are turning to you to help us make it through this fight.
This diagnosis has been a complete shock to everyone. Even multiple doctors said, "it doesn't look like cancer." But unfortunately it is and it is quite advanced.
We thank you for any help and support we receive from you to help us on this healing journey! I have already been amazed by the outpouring of love and support. I have received multiple requests for a way to help, so here it is!
Thank you!!!
