Dimanche le 10 avril au soir, Apollo, mon cheval pur sang a fait une très grosse colique. Après plusieurs heures à rester avec lui au boxe pour le surveiller, j'ai remarqué que son état ne s'améliorait pas du tout et qu'il devait descendre d'urgence à la faculté de médecine veterinaires de St-hyacinthe en plein milieu de la nuit.
Très tôt lundi matin, l'équipe de Veterinaire m'a téléphoné afin de me dire que je devais prendre une décision très rapidement car ce n'était qu'une question d'heures. C'était soit l'euthanasie, soit la chirurgie. La chirurgie lui permettait de revivre sa vie tout à fait normalement. N'écoutant que mon cœur, j'ai foncé et accepté la chirurgie, mais les frais sont estimés à 6000$
Apollo est actuellement aux soins intensifs et pourra rentrer à la maison le 16 avril mais seulement si la facture est payé en totalité. Financièrement je n'aurais pas dû accepter, mais mon cœur a pris le dessus.

horse had a very large colic. After several hours of staying with him in the box, I noticed that his condition did not improve at all and that I had to send him to the emergency veterinary medical faculty of St-Hyacinthe in the middle of the night.
Early on Monday morning , the team of Veterinary phoned me to tell me I had to make a decision very quickly because it was only a matter of hours. It was either euthanasia or surgery. The surgery would allow him to live his life quite normally . Listening only to my heart , I accepted the surgery, but the costs are estimated at $ 6,000.
Apollo is currently in intensive care and will go home April 16 but only if the invoice is paid in full. Financially I should not have accepted , but my heart has taken over.
