Jeremiah's Fight Night Round 2

Donation protected
Jeremiah is a leukemia survivor who had a stem cell transplant in February of 2016. He was in remission for 3 years and 9 months. In October of this year, Jeremiah started to feel sick and after about a month when he still wasn’t getting better, he decided to get blood work. His blood work was a little concerning, so he reached out to his oncology team at OHSU. On Thursday, November 7th Jeremiah had a bone marrow biopsy and that next Monday we were struck with the news that Jeremiahs leukemia is back. He was admitted to OHSU that night on November 11th. He went through various testing to make sure his body could withstand treatment again and began his first round of intensive chemo on Wednesday, November 13th. Jeremiah is going to be at OHSU for a minimum of 4 weeks to complete this first round of chemo. If the doctors can get his leukemia into remission, they will do a Donor Leukocyte Infusion (DLI) where they reintroduce his donors stem cells to attack the leukemia. Jeremiah and Kiersti’s son Kaicen is in Kindergarten this year and Kiersti will have to divide her time between OHSU and being back in Pendleton with Kaicen. Funds raised will help with the added medical expenses and travel to and from Pendleton. Thank you all so much for your support!
