Single dad of 2 young girls aged 15 and 13.
I have been a single dad since girls were 5 and 3. I have always had a nanny of sorts for help with my girls.
The girl’s mother has been in and out of jail and is struggling with her own mental disabilities.
I’ve fallen on rough times. Made it through all turndowns in oilfield except for 2016 crash.
In 2016 my oldest daughter brought to my attention that she had been a cutter for some time. I got help for my oldest but there is no miracle cure. The struggle is ongoing and got worse when 2 days before her 14th birthday she tried suicide for the second time.
Devastated and not wanting to be anywhere except home taking care of my family, I went through 2 jobs that year. Also learning that my father’s Alzheimer’s disease is getting worse day by day. I seem to be the one that can reason with him when my step moms halo gets tilted.
In early 2018 my youngest daughter admits to cutting like her sister and also has suicidal thoughts. I then get the help started as I am already familiar with the process. Then my youngest breaks her ankle and that was the last straw for my current employer.
My last company was a “AT WILL” employer meaning they can fire at will and you can quite at will. This was a surprise to Me as it happened 2 weeks before thanks giving.
Help from my family is there but they are on a fixed income. I think they have exhausted their income just trying to help us out this last 3 weeks. My only brother is struggling with his gulf war syndrome and his wife is in late stage Lyme disease. My sister has helped as much as she can.
My ex in-laws sent all they could but that comes out to covering my lights for last month.
I need a little help/ miracle from my friends before we become a homeless statistic.
With my training and abilities finding work will happen its just getting through the holidays and all bills not getting paid I need some help.
Please, if you can spread a little love no matter how small, it will keep my family under one roof and able to keep in the rat race. All funds will go to bills that are of substance like water, electricity, psychiatrist phone and food ECT… I have no credit cards so that’s a plus.
I’ve never done anything like this and believe me, I’ve already went to the bank, VA, Catholic charities and the red cross. The girls both have Medicaid now thank god. We do get food stamps too but how far does 300 get a family of 3 these days?
If you can’t help, that’s fine, just share and maybe ill get lucky with this post finding another single dad that this strikes a chord with and he won’t be too embarrassed to ask for a little help from his friends.
I think Kevin Federline and I both have ex’s from Louisiana.
I know I’m not a California wildfire survivor or a Hurricane Harvey charity case, but I am just like you only going under water and on the brink of living separated from my kids.
