Many of you know my sister Madi and her husband Dave. If you know Madi you know how funny, positive, loving, and strong she is. This past September Madi and Dave purchased their first home after David switched jobs. Soon after Madi was chasing her two-year-old son down in a parking lot and sprained her ankle. Her recovery from that injury led to a temporary handicap, increased stress, and lack of sleep.

Dealing with two kids, unpacking, a new house, and all of her other responsibilities her sleep schedule decreased even more. About two weeks ago she was struck with a serious case of vertigo that completely immobilized her. After about a week, she began to have double vision. In a visit to the primary care doctor, he suggested she be rushed to the ER. Hospital MRIs revealed lesions on Madi's brain and spine. She's been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or MS.

This sobering diagnosis has been one that has brought our family together in support of her. This past week in the hospital although fruitful, has been wildly expensive. After just this first week of hospital visits the family has been left with over $30k of medical bills (after insurance).
