Hello y'all!
As some of you know, after 24 years in retail, I have suddenly been directed down another career path. Those who know me, painting oil on canvas is what I love to do. I happen to own a home that includes a two room outbuilding that was once the Manchester Hallmark Store from 1955 til 1974. For years that building has been vacant and neglected. I feel like this is my opportunity to revitalize what was once a Manchester business into the JB Art Studio. A place where you can come and learn some techniques to create your own beautiful masterpieces. What will set me apart from the usual "sip and paint" studios is that I will be teaching you oil painting tips and techniques that date back hundreds of years.
Your generous donations will be used for the total demolition of the inside, as well as remodeling the studio with brand new floors, walls, insulation, ceiling and plumbing. We will take out the old electrical fixtures, windows and doors and replace them with more energy efficient options. Finally, we can then use any additional funds for easels, canvases, art supplies, shelving and storage.
With your help we can revive what used to be a thriving business in Manchester. A business where customers could buy greeting cards and snow cones. However, I will be operating the same building in a different manner. I'll be teaching you how to paint works of art you will be proud to display in your home.
