Why I'm fundraising

Hi, my name is Patti.

I am reaching out with a heavy heart and a plea for support on behalf of my daughter, Jordyn, her two girls and stepson. The family have lost the apartment they lived in and all their belongings due to a devastating fire.

On December 13th, the family lost everything due to fire, smoke and water damage cause by a fire in their apartment.

The family were out for breakfast when the fire started in the children’s room. Thanks to the quick response from the fire department the other units in the building were spared the devastation of losing everything they own,

I am beyond thankful they were watched over and Jordyn and the kids are all safe. Unfortunately, the two-family pets were lost in the fire, The kids are beyond upset over losing their furry friends, and mom is devastated to lose her fur babies

The red-cross was on scene that freezing day and helped with kind words, blankets, teddy bears and hotel accommodations for a few days. Jordyn and the kids will need to find new accommodations for themselves and figure out how to replace their belongings they lost!

My Heart hurts knowing they had to experience this event and its devastation. Their unit was the only one that was on fire, and the damage caused by the fire, smoke and water made their apartment and everything in it a complete loss.

This happening a just before Christmas is both hard emotionally but also financially. I am reaching out to the community, our friends/ family or anyone willing to help. Anything is appreciated to provide relief this holiday season with there basic needs and necessities as they get started from scratch. We’ve already seen some kindness from others through a Facebook group and the kindness of others managed to replace the children’s Christmas presents within a few hours. That took some weight off of Jordyn and she was so grateful for the kindness.

With the children’s Christmas presents not being a worry now, any funds raised will be utilized for but not limited to costs to secure temporary and permanent housing, food, clothing, toiletries and other day to day essentials, along with replacement of other important household items,

For anyone that knows Jordyn, you know she would do anything to help a friend, loved one or even a stranger in need, so my aim with this GoFundMe is to provide her and her family with immediate financial support in their time of need.
