If its not one thing its another! While everything at the house seems to be moving along, Emmas car broke down on her way to work yesterday. The insurance company totalled it. So now they have to go car shopping ontop of everything else. If you aren't able to help, please share- you may know someone who can! Thank you all so much!

This family is full of first responders who could really use our help... Derek is an Ex Fire Chief on Green Brook Fire EMS and now serves as Assistant Chief on Mount Bethel Fire Dept In Warren. Jen has served as a Lieutenant on Green Brook EMS and is also an EMS instructor for Union County College. They have raised two beautiful children, Tyler and Emma who both also serve the community. Tyler, served on Green Brook FD and Warren FD before moving to Jersey City, in pursuit of a professional firefighting career. Emma, also a first responder, served 4 years with Maine University EMS while she was away at school as well as serving Watchung EMS. She is also a firefighter with Mount Bethel Fire Dept. They have made it though 3 major storms prior to this one, however this has been the most devastating. Everything has been lost/destroyed on the first floor. Cloths/bedding/kitchen appliances/ etc. I helped carry out contractor bags full of cloths that have to be taken to a laundry mat to be cleaned. We emptied their entire refrigerator and freezer into garbage bags.Their bed, dresser, entertainment system, dinning room table, couch- entire first floor - is out at the street.... They do not currently know where they are staying for the next few days or how soon an adjuster can get out to them. Any assistance that anyone can give, will be greatly appreciated. They need food, laundry done/ dog food/cat food/ household essentiels.... This is such an amazing family that gives so selflessly of themselves. This is just devastating to see them in this situation. For a family that has dedicated their lives to helping our community as well as surrounding towns, itd be great if we could help them in their time of need!
