Time to hit the course again and raise money for Limbitless. Two Half Marathons (January and February of 2024). 2021
Those who know anything about my "athletic" endeavors know that I hate cardio and skip leg day. So I am challenging myself to the Disney Springtime Race, which is a 5k followed by a 10k followed by 10 miles for a total of 19.3 Miles on March 31-April 3. My sister Jamie, who equally hates running, will be joining me for the 10k.
While I'm miserably trying to get the miles in before the kids wake up and Jamie finds the time between her multiple jobs, we both asked ourselves, can we do something positive for the community while we hit the pavement.
In recent years, the Corey family was blessed with three healthy children with all ten fingers and ten toes. Jamie gets to teach classrooms full of children with the same. Limbitless Solutions helps children a part of the limb difference community have the opportunity to belong. Created by a UCF Alumni, Limbitless Solutions has invented and donates prosthetic bionic arms for children. Having watched this organization grow at UCF, this cause is close to our family. Our family has donated three arms under Clark, Ryan, and Olivia's names. We'd love to donate number 4!
Some families have faced hardships through accidents or congenital disabilities, and it would mean the world to help us help those families. So we ask that you donate $19 for the 19 miles to help us reach our goal!
