Hello, this fundraiser is to help support a good friend of mine and his family of 5.

His daughter Jazzy (age 13) has been battling Stage 3 cancer since 2017 as well as epilepsy and other health complications since birth. Her cancer is a rare genetic disease called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia 2B.

After multiple surgeries to remove 18 cancerous nodules, it returned in 2019 which resulted in her having a Central and Bilateral Neck Dissection. Since then, she is being treated with oral chemo in an attempt to keep the cancer at bay.

In 2020, Jazzy's mother had to leave her job to care for her full-time, resulting in the family becoming a single-income household. This has brought on financial hardship in keeping up with living expenses. This fundraiser is to help supplement the mother's income and alleviate the stress of financial hardship which would allow the family to focus on Jazzy and being together.

It has been a long 13-year road for the Rivera family. The ability to focus on being together and salvaging a normal family life is incredibly important.

Jazzy's father, Isaac, is working a full-time job and 2 part-time jobs which keeps him busy 7 days a week. He is now in a paid sheet metal apprenticeship that will allow him to earn a raise every 6 months for the next 4 1/2 years until he completes the program and will then be earning enough money to sustain his family.

Jazzy's most recent hospitalization was 22 days from December 2022 into January 2023. She had pneumonia and the treatment caused her lung to collapse. Thankfully she recovered.

I have known Isaac for a few years now and after learning of this most recent hospitalization with Jazzy, I was compelled to help. I thank you in advance and I know the Rivera family truly appreciates your love, help and support.
