Hello all,

Our sweet Jazmyn has been dealing with a very scary and life altering diagnosis these last few months. She needs our help, so please, read her story and consider donating for her lively-hood.

She began experiencing terrible symptoms in early December, 2023, which turned out to be clostridioides difficile (C-Diff). They prescribed antibiotics, which unfortunately did not help. Jazmyn continued to have excruciating pain in her back, and was unable to stomach food, despite asking her PCP (primary care physician) for help. She lost around 50 lbs in these short months.

Unfortunately with no help from her previous doctors, the pain turned into bleeding and inflammation in her colon. This is when Jazmyn decided to admit herself into the hospital on January 17th. Despite hopes of going home, especially after spending 4-5 days in the hospital, Jazmyn was diagnosed with Chron's disease. Though the doctors got some answers, her pain became too much, so she was brought into emergency surgery during this stay.

This surgery (January 22nd) was an exploratory surgery, ensuring her colon was cleaned out, and they ended up finding holes in her intestine (signs of progressive Chron's disease).

They decided to let her body rest (incision still open, but protected, and she was completely under and on intubation) in the ICU for a day, and then they went back in to complete their surgery on January 24th.

They ended up removing 8+ inches of intestine, and her appendix (non-problematic, just as a precautionary measure).

She had a LOT of invasive and scary surgeries and has been incredibly exhausted, but she has been in great spirits.

It has been over a week since Jazmyn's final surgery, and she has gone from not being able to sit up, to walking with help, and then walking WITHOUT help in less than a week. She is a super-woman. We are so proud of our girl.

Jazmyn is now in a rehabilitation center and is doing well. She is expected to be home within the next week because of her dedication. She is a fighter and so incredibly strong. We believe in her so much.

Jazmyn is a single mother with a beautiful daughter named Charlotte (Charlie). They have been out of their apartment for almost a month, which means not only is Charlotte yearning to return home (she is being taken care of the very gracious and kind Sean and Anne - Jazmyn's partner and MIL), but Jazmyn (as a single mother) has been without pay.

These beautiful, selfless, and incredible humans deserve to be safe and with a warm home to come back to.
