Jayson’s Medical Bills: Road to Recovery

Jayson Dunaway's life took an unexpected turn when he was involved in a severe motorcycle accident on his way to work March 14th, 2024. Jayson was faced with a split-second decision: to avoid hitting a man on a bicycle who suddenly sped out into the middle of the road right in front of him.

Amid the crisis , an honorable nurse who happened to hear the crash , rushed in to administer life - saving CPR to Jayson until paramedics arrived on scene . He was then transported to the hospital for immediate trauma surgery .

Currently, Jayson is in critical condition . Dependent on a ventilator , in a sedated state as he battles for his life in the ICU. The extent of Jayson's injuries is staggering: his spleen had to be removed, the bottom lobe of his left lung needed to be removed, he suffered a femur fracture, a patella fracture, clavicle fracture, and fractured every rib on his left side. He also sustained lacerations to his left hand, and kidneys. Even though he was wearing one of the best helmets on the market , doctors have stated that he on top of all the broke bones, he has a Traumatic Brain Injury as well as a Spinal Cord Injury which could result in quadriplegia.

Jayson is a proud father to a 25 year old son who is also fighting a battle of his own . In 2020, his son faced a life threatening car accident that left him battling paralysis. Yet , he continues to fight day in and out to regain his ability to walk again and is ready to continue conquering this journey but now together with his father.

As family , friends , and compassionate strangers, we refuse to let Jayson face this battle alone. All funds raised through this campaign will go directly to Jayson's medical bills and future intensive recovery care for the hopeful journey ahead of him .

Although Jayson is fighting for his life at the moment , when visited by his family , they see his strong spirit holding on . So we pray that as we unite together we can nourish him with all of the care he needs .
