Hello, my name is Amber. I am Jay's mom, and I'm asking for help on Jay's behalf.

Back on September 2nd, Jay was witnessed having what his peers believed to be a seizure. He collapsed and hit his head hard. At that time, he was diagnosed with a concussion. Six hours later, Jay had a seizure while in the car with his aunt and me. Jay turned blue and momentarily stopped breathing. My sister, who was driving, had to make an emergency stop while I called 911. We both had to watch this horrific scene unfold while trying to cut through traffic, get out of the car, stop Jay from convulsing, and get him to breathe. He was then taken back to the hospital by EMS for the second time, where he was admitted for the next six days for TBI, a skull fracture, and two brain bleeds, on top of a new diagnosis of seizures.

Jay suffers from bad headaches, memory loss, slower speech, and is occasionally unaware of his surroundings. He has not been cleared to go back to work yet. And now, he will be unable to drive for six months. Back in April, Jay was able to, on his very own, buy his own car. I would like to do my best to help keep up with the car payments just until he is cleared to go back to work (which he has been asking to do for the last three days) so that when he is ready, he can have his freedom back. I would also like to be able to pay all of the unknown expenses that insurance may not cover. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have any clue what those bills look like yet. Jay thankfully still lives at home with me, and I provide the medical insurance coverage for him, but as we all know, they don't cover everything either (especially the EMS fees). Jay has had multiple tests done to determine why these seizures are happening. This is all new to us, with no family history or previous seizure events. This is going to be a lifestyle change that he will need to adjust to, as well as all the medication to help with the migraines and seizures and all the follow-up specialist appointments needed for ongoing care.

We are asking for help in any way and appreciate those of you that have been here for us. I'm heartbroken that I even have to ask. But we need help. Any shares are appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read.
