Jay's Health at Risk Without Stable Home

Hi, my name is Jay Flanders. I am raising funds for first month's rent and deposit. My wife and I are at high risk of being homeless. We have been looking for safe and affordable housing for about a year and finally found a place that will meet all our needs, but we really need help paying the first month's rent and deposit.

About a year ago, we experienced a couple of life and vet emergencies that put us in debt and made it really hard to pay rent on time. Since we couldn't afford rent, we had to leave our apartment and have been staying with a friend. Now our friend's landlord is making us leave by next month on May 15th, 2025. We do not have any other friends or family in the area that could take us in, and all the shelters are completely booked, although we are on the waitlist. Luckily, we finally found an apartment that can accommodate our needs; we just need help with the initial payments for it. After that, my wife's job can cover the monthly expenses.

I have chronic health conditions that have just been getting worse over the past year due to all of the stress of being without stable housing. I've had several hospitalizations in the past month alone. Getting into this apartment will allow me to better address my health needs and start to heal.
