As some of you may know, my mother passed away in March 2012 after a courageous 2.5 year battle with ovarian cancer. It's been nearly 10 years since her passing, and I'm committed to honoring her memory in whatever way I can.

And so, I'm running (or trying to) ... I'm running the Berkeley Half Marathon on February 27th to raise money in my mom's name to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA), the largest global organization dedicated to fighting ovarian cancer. OCRA advances research to prevent, treat and defeat ovarian cancer, supports women and their families before, during and beyond diagnosis, and works with all levels of government to ensure ovarian cancer is a priority.
