Please join me in helping Jesus "JayJay" Silva & his family on their road with B Cell Lymphoma
Jesus or Jay Jay is a 27-year-old girl-dad to his daughter Kayla and a great partner to his other half Karla. They are expecting their second child in about three months and are overjoyed to welcome their second little girl. Jay has also been a caring brother and son, and even though my mom says she doesn't have a favorite, we all know Jay Jay is her pride and joy :). He makes her laugh on a daily and is always watching over her and our father. He has been a huge rock to my sister Ashely, brother Angel and me. Smart courageous hardworking and intelligent are a few of the words that best describe his personality as a whole.
His passions include soccer, Funko Pops and DBZ! Coaching has been a recent hobby, participated in coaching the Prosser High School JV girl's Soccer team and was looking forward to coaching the High School boy's varsity team. When it comes to his daughter the sky is the limit. Kayla and her father share the same passion for soccer. Jay pushes her and has the occasional one on one coaching sessions.
About 3 weeks ago JayJay started his normal day as usual getting ready for work when he noticed some discomfort in his left arm along with some swelling. He was admitted to Sunnyside Hospital and after some tests, they discovered he had two blood clots in the main artery they began his treatment on blood thinners to prevent a stroke. Although we thought the answers were there it only got more tedious. After a CT Scan a huge mass was discovered on the left side of his chest that was pushing up against his artery causing the blood clots. Sunnyside hospital began its search for a cardiologist and after 2 stressful days of Washington and Oregon hospitals turning him away a doctor was finally found and Jay was flown to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. There he was diagnosed with B Cell Lymphoma, a rare case of blood cancer disease that is curable but specifically to him will require chemotherapy once every 28 days for 8 months. After three weeks of being in a hospital bed, he will finally come home and begin this long bumpy road with chemotherapy.
We have created this fundraiser to help with any medical expenses heading their way as well as ease the arrival of their baby girl in the following months. It truly is heartwrenching seeing one of your own going through this path and we thank the lord he has kept his arms wrapped around us.
To all our family and friends we thank you endlessly for keeping Jay, Kayla, Karla and the rest of our family in your prayers and thoughts.
