Jay's Dream to Drive - Fueling Jays Kart Racing Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Jay White and my dream is to be a professional race car driver one day.

Jay has been a race fan since a very young age. Some of his favorite drivers include Lando Norris, Joey Logano, Marcus Ericsson, Oscar Piastri, and George Russell. Thanks to the popular Netflix series Drive to Survive and his most recent obsession with F1 racing, Jay discovered the wonderful world of Kart Racing. He learned that many of the great drivers got their start in Kart Racing. Last year, Jay raced in the iDrive Junior Rental Series (https://www.gatewaykartplex.com/idrive-jr-series) at the Gateway Kartplex in Madison, Illinois. He went out there with low expectations but full of excitement and an immense respect, passion, and love for the sport. Jay impressed and surprised all of us when he qualified for the pole position and won his very first race. I have never seen him smile so big in my life, and he was on cloud nine for weeks. He finished the season 4th in total points and had 2 wins and 6 podiums. More importantly, he gained some valuable experience, and his passion for driving has grown exponentially.

Jay will be competing in the iDrive Junior Rental Series again this summer, but the obvious next step in his journey is to compete in the local Ignite Karting Series (https://www.gatewaykartplex.com/ignite-series). The Ignite Karting Series provides a higher level of competition on a level playing field and tons of opportunity for growth and development. Unfortunately, there are some significant costs to racing in the Ignite Series, including the cost of an Ignite K3 kart.
