Jay (Alex) Miller - Medical and Life Expenses

Hello everyone, It’s with a heavy heart I come here today to ask for not only your prayers but your help for Jay (Alex) Miller. Jay started having dizziness, headaches and unsteady balance that progressed on and off for about a week. On Sunday August 30th he woke up with a worsening headache and an increase in his instability; he decided to go to the ER to be checked out. Initial imagining revealed that he had “spots” on the brain. After transferring to VCU and undergoing additional test/imagining- he has been diagnosed with stage 4 primary lung cancer with metastasis to the kidney, brain, lymph nodes and a secondary met to the lung. There are still more test to be done to determine the best approach for treatment. But either way- he has a tough and financially costly time ahead. Jay started a new job earlier this year, which he has loved and excelled at. However, he is unable to return to work at this time and unsure if he will be able to again. He does not have any medical insurance and was denied at this time for Medicaid. His wife, Patricia, is on a set limited income, and now will only be the only income for the household. He loves hunting and his guns, his wife, working on her to-do lists and Pinterest inspired projects, his yorkies, his children and their families, and especially his three grandchildren dearly. Anything you are willing or able to give will be used to help alleviate the financial stress placed on them, for household bills, food, medical expenses -and so he can focus on spending time healing and at peace with their things and people he loves the most.
