Our beautiful friend and colleague, Jaylene, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Jaylene has worked at Gymea Bowling Club for the past 13 years and has touched the lives of so many people through her kindness, warmth, and wonderful sense of humour. She is deeply loved by everyone who knows her.
Despite only recently receiving her diagnosis, Jaylene has faced this incredibly difficult journey with remarkable strength and courage. Like all battles of this kind, however, the challenges have been relentless. One of the hardest moments has undoubtedly been having to explain everything to her young daughter.
She has contracted rhinovirus and is currently in hospital due to a very low immune system from the first round of chemotherapy.
Jaylene will be going through four rounds of chemotherapy and then followed by 16 rounds of radiation.
Simultaneously, her apartment is being sold by the owner and she will need to pack up and find alternate accommodation whilst receiving treatment.
Jaylene had a holiday booked for Bali in May that she has had to postpone, but cannot wait to get on top of this and take her daughter on a much needed holiday. These funds will not be going towards this, it will be exclusively be used to help with medical bills, day care, moving and day to day expenses needed to keep her family afloat during these trying times.
We are hoping to raise funds to help ease some of the overwhelming financial and emotional pressure she is facing during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are in a position to donate, no matter how small the amount, it would mean the world to Jaylene and her family. Every contribution and act of support is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and generosity.
