Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Jayla Smith and I am a 1st year Biology major on the Pre-Med track at the University of Florida. I am honored to be competing in this year's Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Miss black and Old Gold Scholarship Pageant as your Contestant # 9.

This pageant represents so much more than just a crown, it is an opportunity for me to show my dedication to service and youth empowerment. I am deeply committed to serving my community, whether it is through mentoring young students, volunteering at pediatric clinics, or working to address health disparities. This pageant gives me the platform to continue this work while sharing my passion for leadership, service, and advocacy.

With your support, I will continue my dedication to making a positive impact on my community and uplifting the voices of those who need it the most. Your belief in my mission fuels my drive to keep working to help the youth, and I am truly grateful for your encouragement.
