Our family is devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved Jaydin Lewis, whose life was taken on Friday October 2 in an unexpected act of gun violence at the ‘Artist Lounge’ in Northridge. Jaydin was only 18 years old and had his entire life ahead of him.

Jaydin was a happy and loving young man with a kind spirit and a bright future and had this smile that made everyone feel welcome. He was a high school senior who loved music, anime, and dreamed of one day becoming a marine biologist. He was a beloved son, grandson, twin, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, and he brought so much joy to the people that know and love him.

What happened to Jaydin was completely unexpected. He simply found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, and in an instant, a young life filled with promise was taken far too soon.

Our family is trying to comprehend this unimaginable loss and navigate the difficult days ahead. This fundraiser has been created to surround Jaydin’s family with love and support during this incredibly painful time and to allow them the space to grieve, heal and honor his life and memory.

Jaydin was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed. We want him to be remembered not for the tragedy that took him from us, but for the beautiful young man he was, the joy he brought to those around him, and all the dreams he still had ahead of him.
